Miami events pick up in November, when the busy travel season starts, and most of the big dates between now and February land in neighborhoods where Euro Money Exchange has a branch. Downtown Miami

Downtown gets busy in the second half of November. Miami Book Fair runs November 15 to 22 at Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus, with more than 550 authors and a Street Fair on the surrounding blocks from November 20 to 22. The Friday of the Street Fair is free for everyone. The weekend before, on November 13 and 14, the E1 Miami GP holds its season finale on Biscayne Bay.

The Countdown at Bayfront Park has been the city’s official New Year’s Eve party, free to the public, with fireworks over Biscayne Bay at midnight. Check the 2026 lineup closer to the date.

Miami Beach and South Beach

Miami Art Week runs November 30 to December 6. Its center is Art Basel Miami Beach, open to the public December 4 to 6 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, with VIP days on December 2 and 3. More than twenty satellite fairs open across the city the same week. Two of them sit on the sand in South Beach: Untitled Art at Ocean Drive and 12th Street (December 2 to 6) and SCOPE Miami Beach at 801 Ocean Drive (December 1 to 6).

On New Year’s Eve, the City of Miami Beach holds its annual fireworks on Ocean Drive at midnight. January brings the 50th Art Deco Weekend on Ocean Drive (January 15 to 17, 2027) and the South Beach Jazz Festival (January 14 to 17). The South Beach Wine & Food Festival closes out February, from the 25th to the 28th.

Doral and the airport area

Doral has a full art weekend in mid-November. The Doral International Art Fair runs November 12 to 15 at the Doral Cultural Arts Center, and the free Downtown Doral Arts Festival takes over NW 53rd Street on November 14 and 15 with more than 60 artists, live art and food vendors.

Near Miami International Airport, Miami Freedom Park is Inter Miami’s new 25,000-seat stadium. The team closes its regular season at home against Charlotte FC on Saturday, November 7. The MLS Cup Playoffs follow, from November 18 to the final on December 18, and Inter Miami start them as defending champions after winning the 2025 MLS Cup.

Pinecrest and Kendall

South Miami-Dade has the biggest sports weekend of the fall. NASCAR Championship Weekend comes back to Homestead-Miami Speedway from November 6 to 8, with the Cup Series title race on Sunday, November 8. US-1 (South Dixie Highway) runs south from Pinecrest toward Homestead, so our Pinecrest branch is an easy stop on the way.

For families, Zoo Miami opens Zoo Lights on Friday, November 27, with more than a million lights, and Pinecrest Gardens runs Nights of Lights on select evenings from December 4 to 23. The Pinecrest Gardens Farmers Market sets up every Sunday through December 27.

Sunny Isles Beach

Sunny Isles Beach doesn’t depend on one headline event. Its draw is the season: December through April is the most popular time to visit, when the weather is warm and dry. Aventura Mall is close by, and Black Friday falls on November 27 this year. Holiday hours can change around Thanksgiving, so call ahead that week.

West Palm Beach

The West Palm Beach GreenMarket opened its 32nd season on October 3. It runs every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at 100 N. Clematis St. through May 22, 2027, except February 6 and March 20. Admission is free, and this season’s theme, The World, Right Here, puts international food and traditions at the front. The Master Chef Showcase returns on November 14.

In December the waterfront lights up for Holiday in Paradise, built around Sandi, a 35-foot, 700-ton holiday tree made of sand, with nightly light and music shows through New Year’s Eve. Check wpb.org for the 2026 tree lighting date.

How to plan your currency for an event trip

• Exchange before the weekend. Most big events peak on Saturday and Sunday. Our Downtown, South Beach, Kendall and Doral branches open on Saturday, and Doral also opens on Sunday. The others close on weekends.
• Skip the airport counter. Airport exchange kiosks usually offer less favorable rates than a branch in the city. Here’s when to exchange.
• Ask for small bills. Tips, valet and market stalls are easier with smaller denominations. Tell the teller what you need.
• Pay in US dollars. If a card terminal offers to charge you in your home currency, choose dollars. Here’s why.
• Reserve online. You can reserve your exchange online and pick it up at the branch you choose.
