For eight days in November, Downtown Miami hosts the largest and longest-running literary festival in the United States. Miami Book Fair 2026 runs November 15 to 22 at Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus, and the Street Fair takes over the surrounding blocks from Friday, November 20 to Sunday, November 22. Authors present in English, Spanish and Haitian Creole, which makes the fair an easy pick for visitors from Latin America, the Caribbean and Spain. Below: dates, Street Fair tickets, parking and where to get US dollars a few blocks from the fair.

The fair mixes big-name talks with programs in several languages. A few to look for in the schedule:
The 2026 author list includes CNN anchor Abby Phillip, novelist Ada Calhoun and linguist Adam Aleksic, known online as the Etymology Nerd. The full lineup and the downloadable Fair Guide are on the official site.
The fair closes the streets around the Wolfson Campus. If you drive, map your route to 145 NE Fifth Street.
Security checks bags, backpacks and purses at the entrances, and firearms and other weapons are not allowed.
The Book Fair falls in a busy stretch for Miami. The E1 Miami GP holds its season finale on Biscayne Bay on November 13 and 14, right before the fair opens. A week earlier, NASCAR Championship Weekend runs November 6 to 8 in Homestead, and Art Basel Miami Beach follows in early December. Our fall and winter events calendar has every date.
The Street Fair’s exhibitors sell everything from books to handmade crafts and food. Payment options depend on each booth, so carry some US cash for small purchases and for tips at the restaurants nearby. Small bills make quick purchases easier.
Arriving through Miami International Airport? Airport exchange kiosks usually offer less favorable rates than a branch in the city, so it’s worth waiting until you’re Downtown.
